Seeing !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with old family car pics got me a little nostalgic. Here's my dad's old '73 Cougar. Apparently he used to roast the tires quite often with a built 351C.

AWESOME!
Gota love a little Muscle Mercury. (You had to know I'd show up, MontegoBait!).
351C is a fantastic motor, I wish there was one in my Montego.
My dad used to drag race a Torino with a built 351C, way far from street legal. Here he is in this straight outa the 80's pre-race burnout picture:

That's an awesome picture! My dad also had a '72 Torino but I don't know what engine was in that one. He got it after he sold the Cougar.

I've been told he ran in the 11's with it. No nitrous, just motor. Though it was gutted and strictly a drag car, and ran race fuel.
Loudest car I've ever been in. It's one of my earliest memories when he started it up while I was sitting on the floor where the passenger seat should have been.
I have my 68 Mercury Montego, I was looking for a red Ford Torino to continue the tradition, but I found the Montego for a steal and....close enough? lol

Try it out now - you should see an option to post to oppositelock instead of your personal blog. If not I'll share it on oppositelock until you can post it proper.

Awesome, thank you! Think I'll link it in comments to the plate challenge that was just issued too. Cheers!
